As of Tuesday 5th November, we'll be running a new playtesting scheme at Alley Cat Games. Keep reading to find out how you can get involved, and how to get paid for playing games!
Every Tuesday evening, at 7pm UK time, Alley Cat staff run Testing Tuesday events to playtest our newest games. We need as many keen board gamers as possible to help us out on our quest for better games!

By taking part in Testing Tuesday events, you’ll be rewarded with:

£5 store credit for every hour of board games you play

Playtester credit in the rulebook if you play the game on 5+ Testing Tuesdays

A free retail copy of the game on release if you play the game on 10+ Testing Tuesdays

What type of games do we play?
We play light euro games up to advanced euro games. Currently, we are playtesting Timber Town (light euro game), Baghdad (advanced euro game), and Arborea: Corruption (advanced euro game). With many more being added to the collection soon!
When?
Every Monday Alexis, our playtest manager, will post on discord (#playtest-schedule) and across our social media to let you know which games we’ll be testing that week. We’ll aim to test one light/medium game, and one heavy game. If you’re interested, reply to let him know!
Each Tuesday, look out for a discord message at around 7pm UK time, when the Testing Tuesday event starts. You’ll be allocated to a virtual table in discord, and given access to the game through Tabletop Simulator to play with other Alley Cat Games fans and staff.
Getting your Rewards!
After the playtest, simply fill out the playtest log form to log your hours, and claim the rewards when you’re ready by emailing playtesters@alleycatgames.com! Playtest credit can be spent at the Alley Cat Games webstore.
Want to playtest another day/time on a one-off or semi-regular basis?
Got a group of you who want to playtest but Tuesday 7pm UK time doesn’t work? Let us know in the playtest channel, and we will work with you to playtest at a time that is convenient for you and your group!
Don’t have Tabletop Simulator?
We understand that some people may not have Tabletop Simulator. If that is the case, show us a full screenshot of your steam account showing that you need to buy it, and after your third Testing Tuesday event, we’ll refund the cost of your purchase!
Don't have Discord?
It's easy to sign up and free, and there's a thriving Alley Cat community on our discord server! However, if you don't want to join us there, the best way to stay involved is to sign up to our mailing list.
