Sustainability Policy

  At Alley Cat Games we're committed to reducing our environmental impact by taking the following actions:

 

• Increasing materials from FSC-compliant forests and finding more sustainable materials where possible

• Partnering with Ecologi to plant a tree for every webstore order over £10. See our virtual forest at www.ecologi.com/alleycatgames

​

• Carbon Offsetting our employees by reducing at least 27 tonnes of CO2 produced each year.

​

Here are some examples of how we're putting this policy into action:

 

• All copies of Tinderblox Sunset are FSC compliant, with wooden pieces from officially approved sources and minimal plastic usage (no shrink wrap, FSC approved tin lid stickers and plastic tweezers that are for the game permanently).

​

• All editions of Ada's Dream will use FSC certified components. This means that we can guarantee that the wood and paper used to make the game is taken from sustainable forests.

​​

• We'll be offsetting the carbon produced by the manufacturing and shipping of Ada's Dream, our initial estimates put this at between 5 and 7 tonnes of CO2!
